Learn about advances in equine emergency and critical care (for free!)

Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is offering an in-depth exploration of the latest advancements in equine care via Zoom on Tuesday, May 19 from 6-7 p.m. Eastern time.

The discussion involves new and advanced techniques for caring for critical equine patients. Topics will include advanced pain management in colic patients, both medical and surgical; management of sepsis and toxicities and neonatal care with a focus on respiratory support.

The presentation will be given by Dr. Hanna Sfraga, who graduated from Colorado State University in 2021, and completed an equine internship at Littleton Equine Medical Center in Colorado, followed by a Large Animal Internal Medicine residency at Cornell University. She is an Emergency and Critical Care fellow at Cornell. Dr. Sfraga’s interests include emergencies and critical care of all large animal species, with especially neonatology and equine colic.
