U.S. Olympic show jumping team silver medalist Jessica Springsteen is pregnant, according to news accounts from around the world.
She and her partner, Belgian Olympian Nicola Philippaerts, have been a couple for more than two years. Nicola, 33, a member of his country’s silver medal team at last summer’s world championships, is a twin (his brother Olivier is also a top rider). So maybe that will run in the family?

The baby will be the second grandchild for Jessie’s parents, Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa. Jessie, 34, is a regular on the Global Champions Tour, but has not competed since July to await the baby’s arrival.
