One of the top hopes for a U.S. medal in show jumping at the world championships is switching horses. Laura Kraut will now ride her 2024 Olympic team silver medal mount, Baloutinue, rather than Bisquetta. The decision was based on veterinary advice.
Laura, at age 60 the oldest rider on the squad, has victories all over the world. She rode Baloutinue earlier this month in Dublin on the Nations Cup team that took the Aga Khan trophy.
Now every U.S. championships team has had a substitution from the championships line-up originally named.
