Olivia Sweetnam and JJ Torano, two children of professional equestrians, have been named to ride in the youth competition being held during the Aachen world championships this month. Both already have made their mark in grands prix despite being in their teens.
The daughter of Irish rider Shane Sweetnam and his wife, Ali, Olivia will be competing on Gilona AO, a KWPN mare. JJ, the son of Jimmy and Danielle Torano, is set to ride the Hanoverian stallion Lyon 50 over the 1.45-meter fences Aug. 21-23.
